SHIPPING INFORMATION

Though not inherently expensive to ship plants, there’s an added cost to buying anything that needs to be shipped. Most online shops that sell a lot online just increase their product price to offset shipping and have flat rate to make up that loss.

I want to keep my prices as low as possible but in order to be able to do this, I need to have shipping zones with different criteria for free shipping and charge a separate handling fee. After all, the packing materials cost money, as well.

Doing it this way ensures customers closer to me, especially those local that would be picking up their orders, aren't footing the bill for shipping products across the country.

Currently I'm only offering shipping in the Continental United States.

Zone 1 - $10 USPS Ground

FREE SHIPPING ON $75+

Zone 2 - $12 USPS Ground

FREE SHIPPING ON $125+

Zone 3 - $14 USPS Ground

FREE SHIPPING ON $150+

Zone 4 - $17 USPS Ground

FREE SHIPPING ON $175+

A $2 handling fee for packing materials is added to all shipped orders. This helps keep the price of the plants as low as possible. Express options are available.

USPS Ground shipping will automatically be upgraded to Priority if the price is equal to or less than what you pay for Ground. It's difficult to set up shipping rates when I don't know what the weight or box dimensions until after the order is placed and ready to be packed up, However, shipping priority is best since it can greatly reduce transit times especially with packages going to the west coast. Refunds will be issued for any extra that is paid towards shipping that isn’t actually used.

HANDLING FEE & PACKING MATERIALS

Plants are carefully wrapping in toilet paper for shipping. This helps insulation and absorb moisture. Packing materials in between wrapped plants may include paper, shredded paper, or even 100% raw organic cotton. My goal to only use biodegradable/ compostable materials. I know many people use poly fill which is significantly cheaper than cotton, but I can’t bring myself to do it. I’m not 100% plastic free, but I will keep from buying and using packing materials that are plastic that will be used once and disposed of without reuse. Because of this decision, however, there will always be a handling fee even when shipping is free. I still have to buy packing materials and boxes. Loose cotton can also be put out for birds to use as nesting material.

DELIVERY AND LOCAL PICK UP

Local delivery is available for the Tompkinsville area. The fee is $10 and is free with any order over $30.

Pick up is available without a minimum. The pick up address is down the road from my home address. It a large lot where a restaurant used to be on the main highway. I do not allow pick ups at my home address. This is both for privacy but also liability. My home address is not an open to public business. In order to keep my prices as low as possible, I have to weigh the costs of all business expenses and having the liability insurance to cover people coming onto my property just to pick up orders is an unnecessary cost that I would have to add to my prices. I hope to one day have a place where I can have customers come browse freely, but until then everything will be online and understand local pick up isn't my home/ greenhouse address.
